This film, Home by the Sea, is my tribute to classic Victorian romance novels, reimagined for today’s world. Drawing inspiration from films like The Ghost and Mrs. Muir and John Carpenter's The Fog, as well as Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, this project merges elements of ghostly horror with a timeless love story.
The narrative unfolds across three distinct timelines, intertwining characters in a gripping tale where the horror of the past is not where you left it. As the story weaves together spectral elements and a profound romance, it explores the enduring impact of history on the present.
Join me on this journey as Home by the Sea delves into the mysteries of the past and the power of love that transcends time.

In this clip from Home by the Sea, the ghostly spirit of an 18th-century captain is trapped within the house's mirrors. Meanwhile, Aguirre, a 15th-century conquistador, is accidentally released into the 21st century from a canvas Ingrid found in the attic. His sole mission is to reclaim the gold he believes the captain stole from him. The actors deliver their lines in their native dialects (British and Castilian Spanish), with subtitles provided for Aguirre. There’s much more to the story, and this clip gives a glimpse into the complex narrative.
